I’ve been putting off buying this contraption now for the longest time. And if you ask me why, I’m not really sure I would have a good answer! I just have an aversion to it for some reason or another.
Well the other day I finally gave in to the screaming and wailing of ‘PUHleaze mommmeeee” shouted out at the highest possible volume inside a store full of people. People shaking their heads at me because I wouldn’t simply buy the bubble machine and get it done with. Little children happily clenching their mom or dad’s hands, secretly thanking someone that I wasn’t their mommy! And just what was I thinking not having bought one of these before? Well I don’t know!
We promptly brought it home and it sat on the kitchen counter for a few days. Until today that is! Ali remembered that we did indeed buy it and again began the wailing, which made me finally put the thing together. It says it blows UP TO 4000 bubbles per minute. Well, it blows quite a bit of bubbles and they are definitely a sight to behold. I almost felt like I was in that Coke commercial with the girl rollerblading as she opens a can of Coke and tiny bubbles start to follow her around as she gleefully dances about….I almost felt that glorious! Bubbles have a strange power….
In any case, the girls LOVED it. Helena was a bit overwhelmed at first, but once she figured out they weren’t going to attack her, all those bubbles seemed mighty cool. And the Royal Palm, another one of my favorite palms, made the perfect backdrop for this portrait of bubbles and palm fronds!
