We don’t do event photography except when it is for charity and fundraising so it was our pleasure to shoot the first ever Temple Shalom Preschool Art Show 2008 fundraiser last Thursday evening. It was incredible! The walls were covered with the most amazing artwork…ALL created by 2, 3, 4 and 5 year olds! If someone would not have told you that the artwork had been created by preschoolers, you wouldn’t have ever guessed! The work was so diversified and the kids used so many different medias it was really quite impressive! There were pieces that ranged from abstract yarn to handbag design to stained glass to masks! Simply amazing stuff!

And of course, Ali’s pieces were up on display. She did a fantastic abstract yarn piece and a mixed media snake that was AWESOME! Anyone could bid on the artwork and many local businesses donated their services and products to the even. Astrid and Rene Photography donated a portrait/children’s lifestyle portrait sitting and we were super happy to hear that we received the highest bid of the night and we were bid on even before the event started! Temple moms and members rock!

Not only did we get to meet some great parents but the fundraiser raised a TON of money for the new Reading Room for the preschool and for the school itself. If you are moving to the area or have preschool kids and are looking for an EXCEPTIONAL school, look no further than Temple Shalom Preschool! We have been going there since Ali was 14 months and it’s FANTASTIC! It is the best preschool in this area hands down (and that’s not just our opinion)!
